When will I get first LCWRA payment?

I claimed UC from June due to disability, awarded PIP in August. UC claim was closed as I was unable to attend first appointment, reopened in July and under MR to backdate.
I have provided sicknotes July, August, Sept, Oct.
I had my LWRCA assessment in Sept and contacted Serco who told me I was awarded on 25th Sept.
I have not heard anything yet and wondered when I might receive first payment?
I am in England. Thanks.

You need to wait for the decision letter. If you have access to a journal the letter will be uploaded onto there once the decision is made. Only a decision maker from DWP can make that decision.
If found to have LCWRA you first payment is likely to be either Nov or Dec.
The exact date it’s paid from will depend on the exact date you provided your first payment and what date you usually receive your money each month.

Thank you thats helpful, nothing on the journal yet.
I called SERCO who confirmed I had been accepted to the LWRC group and to contact UC for further info, contacted UC who tell me that there is nothing on the system to show this and to send a journal message, does this sound typical?
Also last year I received student loan, my UC has been reduced to 0 due to this but I was then told by SFE that £4221 of loan is disregarded, so my award should* I think have been £161 per month, but have received 0.
Does anyone know about this? Apologies I have not applied for anything before and this is all new to me since becoming unwell.
Thanks

SERCO are one of the new assessment providers but they shouldn’t have said anything to you because it’s not their job to do that. Only a decision maker can make that decision.
Students and UC are complex and I’d advise you to contact the disabled students helpline and they will advise you further. Telephone: 0330 995 0414

ok thank you thats helpful, they just said 'yes you have been accepted, the referral was closed and returned to DWP'
So now UC decision maker reviews this and decides I assume?
Ill contact the disabled students number thank you, I have also asked on my journal but no reply yet.
I have been awarded PIP thankfully but aside from this no other income so keen to have an update soon, so painfully slow isnt it.
Thanks for your help

yes, the decision maker usually goes with what the assessor says, but there can be cases where they do not.
Congratulations on getting the PIP, best of luck with the UC decision too @xmenxmen1!
In case you do have more questions I am just going to move this over to our Universal Credit category 🙂
