Why need to wait for LCWRA payments?

Hey there am confused about this 3 Month waiting period and I need to try make sense of it lol I received my letter from DWP stating that I have been found to have LCWRA and that I no longer need to provide sicknotes or look for work I have officially being signed off from my GP five months and now after the decision has been made why do they need to wait 4 months from to start any payments ? because the waiting period is for them to establish weather am going to be ill for long period but this hasalready been proven by DWP by the letter they have sent no more sicknotes and my next review is in 12 months so really don't understand why they are waiting till next year for that?? this iswhatthey sent The LCWRA was awarded to you from 01/10/2024.You have 3 full waiting assessment periods where you get no additional money added to you award :-12/10/24 - 11/11/2412/11/24 -11/12/2412/12/24 - 11/01/25 So the first assessment period the LCWRA will be included is 12/01/25 - 11/02/25. This is the payment due to you on 18/02/2025.

The waiting period starts from when you provided your first fit note. Providing you continued to send fit notes without any gaps up until a decision was made on your Work Capability assessment.
To advise you further I’ll need some information from you.
1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?
2/ Were there any gaps in your fit notes?
To be clear LCWRA has no end date. It’s an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. The timescale they give is just a guide and it doesn’t mean you will be reviewed at that time.

My first fitnote was the 11/06/2024

With no gaps

That means your waiting period will be June/July, July/August, Aug/Sept.. LCWRA element starts from Assessment period 12th Oct to 11th Nov and first payment will be 18th November. No LCWRA element is owed.
The advice you were given is incorrect. It seems like they’ve started the waiting period from when the decision was made.
You will need to make sure you check your statement next month to make sure it’s included. If it isn’t then put a message onto your journal.

What you’ve been told by that service centre person is not correct. Please see my previous advice I gave. Your first payment will be next month.
You have misunderstood what I advised. You no longer need to provide fit notes. I didn’t advise that you needed to.
The waiting period starts from when you provided your first fit note which you said was 11/06/2024. My advice above is correct.
