Son moving in

Hi
I am getting housing / council tax benefit also esa & dla.
Am due major surgery so my son wants to move in with me permanently as I have ongoing health problems. My son works but won't be contributing as he will be helping me.
Will him moving in affect any of the benefits I recieve?
Thankyou

Your housing benefit won't be affected in a bad way. If you currently have a shortfall of housing benefit to pay your rent then you'll be entitled to more housing benefit.
If your ESA is Income Related and it includes the Severe Disability Premium then you will lose that unless your son is either registered blind or claims a qualifying disability benefit himself.
You must report the changes to ESA and your local Authority. Council Tax reduction may also be affected. If you currently claim single person discount for council tax then you'll lose that.
