Hello, I had an appointment scheduled for the 19th of November but today I got a message saying it’s changed to the 1st of November. I asked what it was about and I was told that it was a Meeting to discuss starting the restart programme, However, I am still waiting for a WCA assessment and decision, and have a fit note in place. A work coach has said this in my journal, also the phone call isn’t scheduled with him it’s for someone else. Does the message mean I will start the restart programme after a decision on my WCA has been made and the appointment scheduled is to just discuss this as he says “we defer your restart programme until you get an outcome from the WCA process” I am really worried and I won’t get a reply from them as it’s after 6 on a Friday. Thank you x

They've deferred the restart program until the decision on your WCA is made. I can see that there's some personal information showing in those screenshots. Personal information isn't allowed here to protect yourself because it's a public forum. You won't be able to edit your comment as a new member so I've flagged it to a member of the scope team. I’m so sorry I didn’t realise. What is the reason for still attending the appointment if my coach will differ it? It’s with a different coach though not the one that replied to my messages on the journal? Thank you

Good morning, @middali, and welcome to the community!

To protect your identity, I’ve edited your screenshot to remove your full name. While you await the outcome of your Work Capability Assessment (WCA), you may be required to attend regular meetings with a work coach. Based on the messages you've shared, they have agreed to defer your participation in the Restart Program until the WCA outcome is determined. However, you will still need to attend your work coach meetings in the meantime.

At your meeting on November 1st, if the Restart Program is mentioned, you can explain what the other work coach told you about the deferral and refer them to your journal as evidence.

@morgan_scope Why would they make the appointment in the first place? As it changed from a regular meeting on the 19th of November (after my fit note expired as that’s when they scheduled them for me) to a meeting about the restart programme on the 1st of November? X

I would only be speculating so I can't really answer that, as there are lots of reasons they might have changed the appointment. Have you asked them why it was changed @middali?

they said it was because it was to talk about joining the restarts programme but then he sent those messages in the above screenshot so I’m not sure why
