New user. PIP claim

Hi all just wondering if anyone can help. My husband started his pip claim on 31st July. Did the claim online and sent back on 1st August. He recievedan email to say its been submitted. He was then reviewed by local OT and had rails bath seat etc put in. She gave me a letter to say what they had done. So that was sent to PIP also. But since the first email on 1st August he has heard nothing. Is this normal.. thanks

Hi @gillie6967 - & welcome to the community. I'm afraid this can be normal. Your husband will get an appointment to have an assessment. This is usually done by phone/video, & you can be there to support him. When you'll hear about an appointment, we can't know, but he should get at least a weeks notice about this. Hoping your wait isn't too long.

Hi @gillie6967, welcome to the online community 😊 congrats to your husband on getting the PIP forms in. That isn't an easy task by itself. Wait times do vary a little depending on what region of the UK you are in but wait times for an assessment can be quite a while due to the backlog. I know it's probably quite frustrating, I would just keep an eye out for a text or email from the assessment provider.
