Pip assessment without sending back form

Hi everyone
I have had a pip phone assessment last week after, I think missing two extensions I'd asked for, and my recent decline in mental health may have been flagged.
I am waiting for the decision in the next week or two. But my question is, if I am awarded, will it be backdated? I know usually it's backdated to the date the forms were sent back. But what happens when you didnt even send the completed forms??
Just wondering if anyone has had this experience before?
Thank you!! X

If it's a first time claim and you had the difficulties for at least 3 months when you rang to start your claim then this is when it will be paid from if awarded.
Once the assessment report is returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.
