I won the lottery

I won the lottery and Im being messed around, I have misplaced the money and Im too embarrassed to tell anyone I have the same account details but a much lower account with none of the money, if I had an accident and lost the money what should I do to get it back I think it was fraud.

    Did you open a new bank account but with the same bank? When I did this a couple of years ago it showed my bank as zero until the following day.

    If not, have you checked your bank statements to see where the money went to? It will have details of everything on your statements. Do you have someone that you can ask for help?

    I was in an accident and I think the people involved tried to steal the money, I'll phone the banks and report it missing.

    Hi @josephsmith777, welcome to the community. Please don't feel embarrassed to tell someone what's going on, the sooner you reach out the sooner you can hopefully get it sorted.

    Does anyone else have access to your bank account? It's a good idea to get in contact with the bank to see if they can track any suspicious behaviour on your account.

    Sorry to hear you were in an accident, are you safe now? If you're worried about being deliberately targeted or think that you've been a victim of a crime, please get in contact with the police so they can investigate.
