Pip

I phoned up to get an update on my claim they said a decision has been made but they can't tell me over the phone . Is that right

Absolutely right they can't tell you. It's frustrating but part of their training. When you get the paperwork is when you find out

ring the pip line press 1 for English then 6 it will sound like you are being put through to a call handler but then it will ask you for some details, once you have done that if you have been awarded it will tell you an amount and the date of next payment.

I know it’s frustrating but wait for them to confirm in writing not long now!

They will usually tell you if they can see what that decision was. Once the decision is made it takes up to 24 hours for the system to update. Until that happens they can’t see the decision.
The automated payment information regarding your next payment is no longer under option 6 and there’s no longer an option for this. If there’s information to tell you then it may tell you before you are added to the queue to speak to call handler but not always.

So if they sent the letter out on Sunday when will it update

Not anymore there isn’t. It wasn’t there when I rang for my very recent review decision just 2 weeks ago.
Up to 2 weeks for letters from DWP. My PIP letter too 8 days from when the decision was made.

I rang the option today and last week and it is still there for me. Maybe it doesn’t work for some but does for others

It was removed quite sometime ago but they must have recently added it back.
All you can do is wait for the decision letter.
