Hi, my name is elayla! Will my LCWRA be backdated to my first fit note?

I have received my letter saying I have limited capability for work and work related activity but I’m just wondering if my back payment gets backed to when I fire have a fit note stating my disability as I stated this months ago as I was with UC in a different area but I wasn’t given this. Now I have moved to another uc I have been awarded this but I’m unsure weather my back payment is from when I first gave a fit note stating I wasn’t eligible for work or if it starts when my assessment started for my LCWRA, thank you

There is a waiting period of 3 full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your payment.

This can mean no money is owed as it's not paid at all during the waiting period.

In order to help we will need to know the following:

The date you provided your first Fit Note

Were there any gaps in your Fit Notes?

Your assessment period & payment dates.

hi yeah I handed in a fit note on the 4th July 2023 and it has the same health issues as my current fit notes, uc said they are making the report to LCWRA on the 7 august 2023 and I was declared unfit for work but haven’t received this LCWRA until a month ago, thank you

Was this your first work capability assessment or did you have one prior to this?

If this wasn't your first one, were you found to have Limited Capability for work the first time? If so did you report changes to your health condition, which prompted them to refer you for another assessment?
