Back Dated PIP

We asked for the DWP to look again at a decision they made on my husbands PIP award. This was because of the change in the law which meant that some people who had been scored 2 on the social engagement with people question were now eligible to score 4 points. The DWP agreed that my husband was effected and the change in the points from 2 to 4 meant the difference between the standard and higher rate of daily living on PIP.
This means we will receive a back dated amount of PIP and I wanted to know whether this will affect our UC in terms of having over £6000 and whether this will be counted as savings and affect the our UC award?
Thank you in advance
Clara

Lump sum amounts that are owed to you are disregarded for 12 months so will not affect your UC.
