Lcwra backpay
Can someone help figure this out. I was awarded lcwra 25/10/22. I put my first sick line in from this date and they have been continous. My assessment period is 25th to 24th.

I am paid on the 1st and 15th of each month. I was only notified that I was awarded lcwra 24/9/24. I am wondering how much back pay I should get? I know you don't include the first 3 assessments which I think would be
25 Oct 22 to 24 Nov 22
25th Nov 22 to 24 Dec 22
25 Dec 22 to 24 Jan 23
So there I think I should be backpaid from 25th jan 23 up to sep 24? Which is about 19months
Can Anyone work this out please?

That's a very long time to be waiting for the decision. Can I please check that this was your first work capability assessment?
If so then yes your waiting period will be Oct 2022 to Jan 2023.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 25th Jan to 24th Feb and first payment will be 1st March 2023.
This is assuming you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives this element on your claim. Money owed will be paid as a separate payment.

Yes it was my first time and it is my own claim. Can you tell me how much backpay I should be getting as I do not think it has been worked out right?

What makes you think it is incorrect?
Have you factored in the benefits rise each April, so differing amounts would need to be used in the calculation.

Yes I have I got backpaid £3680.61 I figure it should be alot more.

That does seem low.
I'd suggest asking via your journal for a breakdown of how they arrived at that figure.
After which, if you disagree with the calculation you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration to have the amount you are owed looked at again.

It will depend on how much UC you had already received. Were you receiving the carers element for yourself on your UC?
If you were then the same person can't receive both elements at the same time. In this case only the higher element will be paid, which is the LCWRA element. They would then owe you the difference between carers element and LCWRA element.
