do you have to go through the Work Capability Assessment before you get the Work Allowance on Universal Credits.

Yes on disability grounds.
If migrating to UC from ESA, depending on your group LCW/LCWRA will apply from the start of a UC claim, without needing a new WCA. Thus eligible for the Work Allowance
You can also get it if you have dependent children.

can someone update me on if l get assessed as having LCW will that then mean l will get a Work Allowance of £404 before any deductions are taken off any earnings.
