New style Esa and U.c commitments

I have been on both now since the middle of October.I agreed to the u.c commitments but I've never really had any correspondence from new style esa.only a generic letter sent out initially telling me I was going on it.Nothing to tell me what amount I was going onto.I only found out by numerous calls to different departments and finally getting through to the job centre. Is the u.c journal not connected in any way at all to esa?.Is it odd that I've not had to do any commitments and my 2nd payment is due this coming Tuesday

I would say that's fairly normal at this stage. You will at some point need to agree to your ESA commitments, which will be the same as your UC ones.
Your ESA payment will be £276.40/fortnight. This will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement, with the deduction being £598.86/month.
