Had my new award, do I still need assessment

I had my new award extended, but then I received a text message giving me an appointment for my telephone assessment with the health assessment advisory team.
do I still need appointment. Both happen within two weeks

When you say you've had your award extended, did you have an assessment and get an award letter through?
Or has your original award been extended by a year maybe?0 -
my original award has been extended until 2030

It may simply be a case of crossed wires. If you've already been assessed and you have your new PIP award, you shouldn't need another assessment. It'd be worth calling the DWP just to make sure everything's ok though.
