Need help with disabled son

I’m looking for help and things to do for my adult disabled son and to also give me some kind of break, it’s not good for him to be with me 23/7

Have you got any support?
I usually recommend a carers assessment for your needs
And a needs assessment for your son
Both can be done at the same time.
There is also Carers UK

Hi Kimmy thank you for your reply, unfortunately I have no support, I’ve filled in a form with my local authority for any support they can offer so I’ll wait for them to get back to me

Hey @nikki3, welcome to the Scope community 😊The advice Kimmy has given is good for helping get a break with care and also just day to day life.
When you say things to do for your adult son do you mean like entertainment? Getting out of the house? Or like, doing things around the house that will help you?
Just hope to get more clarification so we can help better 🙂

Hey Jimm_Scope
Thanks for your kind reply, it’s getting my son out of the house without me really, focus have been in touch today, they’re sending someone out to assess him in a few weeks so hopefully we’ll get the help we need
