When will I get first newstyle esa payment?
hi, just enquiring about when I will review my first new style esa payment. I had letter on 25th of October confirming my entitlement and I’ll receive £90.50 a week.

Hi Carly, is this a brand new claim?
Have you had a commitments appointment at the Job Centre?
Are you currently getting sick pay (SSP)?
Or are you migrating from legacy benefits?
Sorry for all the questions, but we need to know these things in order to advise correctly.

my payments dated back to the 18th of September but only had letter confirming payment on 25th but still haven’t received a payment. It should be due on a Tuesday as my last two numbers are 32 on national insurance. Do I have to wait a few weeks

Okay, are you receiving SSP?
Have you had a commitments appointment at the Job Center?

Not receiving SSP. Ive been to the job centre for a few appointments. But don’t have to go back for a month or if I can’t make the appointment because of my health condition they said just to let them know.

Okay, as long as you've had a commitments appointment for the NS ESA, you should now be getting payment.
There is a waiting period of 1 week for NSA, where no money is payable.
It should then (following the commitments appointment) be paid every 2 weeks in arrears.

Hey @carlyM03, welcome to the community 😊I hope Kimmy's answer has helped! If for some reason your payment seems to be late you can ring the DWP ESA department on 0800 169 0310 Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm to check what the status is.

It did help but will give them a ring when my support worker comes to see me on Wednesday morning as I haven’t received payment yet. Thank you
