Hi, my name is Sjw500! How long is the wait for an assessment?
Hi there I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. So last year I had a baby and 3 months after my husband had 8 strokes and has been getting sick notes ever since to claim UC he has been honoured pip. But UV said he had to do a form UC50 which we did it’s been over 6 month as we haven’t had an appointment. UC say there is a back log does anyone know roughly how long we are to wait. I can’t get any help with child care cost till this happens and I don’t know how we can cope with just my money and a bit of help from UV the child care cost is £900 a month!

Unfortunately waits vary from area to area, individual workloads etc so we cannot answer that question here.
You could try contacting the assessment provider directly

Hi @Sjw500, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear that you're still waiting for your husband's assessment after all you've both been through. As Kimmy mentioned it's very difficult to say how long things will take as it varies so much across the country, but I hope it comes through soon and you can get everything sorted quickly.
