Shall I take appeal to tribunal

Chronic illness and disability in last 8 months. Didn't apply for UC due to this. Now want it backdated to start of illness. Esa turned down to to insufficient NI. Took dwp 9 months to tell me. They've turned down my appeal. Should I go to tribunal?
