Benefit frauds claiming child Dla

Apparently there are actually people claiming this benefit who don't even look after their child or even live with them!.it's people like this who make the system harder for genuine parents trying to access help for their child/children. Ultimately they will get caught out and will either have to pay back ALL the money or face some sort of custodial sentence.Although I'm thinking the former as our prisons are already full to the brim.

You don't need to be living with a person to care for them. They could be paying someone else to provide help.
There are people out there that fiddle the system, but your comment is accusing everyone before you know the facts.
Have you a link to back up your post?

I think we need to be very very careful about what we read online and take as gospel. We're always hearing that someone knows somebody from down the road that is committing benefit fraud, but when you ask for proof, no one can ever supply any. Let's please try not to spread that narrative.

My comment is not accusing 'Everyone' at all.But yes I do agree with you that there are people who could of course be paying someone else to look after their child for them

Same kind of thing with people collecting a relatives pension who have died. Its not inclusive of children.

I honestly don’t see the point in this discussion except to be downright ignorant. There are people pointing fingers everywhere in order that the finger isn’t pointed at them.
It’s childish and not the sort of helpful thing to be saying.
