Maximum council tax reduction

Today I received a letter to say that dwp has informed the local council of a change in my income ( probably the drastic reduction due to u.c) so now I'm eligible for maximum council tax reduction.Has anyone else had this?.I'd rather have my income back to what it was before as it still works out much more

Each local authority has its own rules on CTR - some provide full relief for those on disability benefits ( PIP daily living higher rate ) or those on low or no income and in receipt of out of work UC ill health benefits ( LCWRA ) or ESA (Support Group)
When you apply for UC the DWP automatically inform your authority of your benefit entitlement as they work together on housing and welfare.
Sorry for the detrimental impact your new status his has had on your life.
Best wishes

Hi @Jane315STARX, the change to Universal Credit has been difficult for many. Have you used a benefits calculator at all to see if there is anything else you could be eligible for?
I know it won't bring back your lost income, but we also have some advice pages on help with bills and cost of living: Advice and support | Disability charity Scope UK There is information there about help with energy bills, water bills, help with shopping or debt, and more.
