Universal credit review
hello,
I had a message on my journal today about a review and uploading 4 months of bank statment and Id. I have done this but does anyone know how long the process is? Im so stressed and feel so sick. I have had money from my parents to help me now and again as im a sinlge parent and also from my friend to get my by as i entered a debt repayment thing which meant i could no longer get a credit card to get essentials so theu have been trying to help me. I have been sending money back to my friend as and when i can but then end up having to relend it and some on top as i havent been able to make ends meet or get any credit due to the debt repayment plan i entered. My head is hurting from the stress and id like to know how it went for others and how long the whole process took.

The length of the process will vary depending on how busy the staff member dealing with your review is, and if they need anything further after the telephone interview.
UC are doing millions of these checks, I went through one last year and loads of others on the forum have been through one. They are to make sure your payments are correct from a financial perspective.
After you submit the information they are looking for, you will have a telephone interview.
You'll be asked a series of scripted questions about other potential sources of money.
Then questions about some of your banking transactions, which might not appear to make any sense.
I myself (as capital was over £6k on paper) was then asked to submit individual bank statement pages showing my Cost of Living payments.
I've seen others who were asked for PayPal account statements after the call.
Then I had a journal message saying my review was complete and my payments were correct.

thank you, how long did the whole process take for yourself? I have submitted everything including my paypal statements although my paypal has nothing but debt on it.

I can't remember exactly as it was over a year ago.
I do remember it was quite quick but that's just my experience, as I said workloads will vary etc for the staff member dealing with your claim.
