Uc migration from esa
I migrated over to uc on the 18th November from Esa Ir & cb esa support group. Everything so far has been ok but today on my journal it says " You must provide a fit note"
My understanding was that under regulation 19 I automatically migrate to LCWRA without the need of assessment. I understand it is taking time for them to verify my esa. I've previously wrote in my journal about reg 19 so should I put another note on my journal about reg 19 again and not having to submit a fit note? If so shall I message it under payment or work coach in my journal?
As my esa was both income related and contribution based my understanding is that the cb part will move over to new style esa and be deducted off my uc and the income related part will be LCWRA.

This is automatically added when reporting a health condition to UC. You should include a note reminding them that you were in the support group on ESA, but there is no need to provide a fit note, as you are correct that it is not required.

To your work coach. They will not know you are in the Support Group until ESA send your details across and this can take up to a few weeks.

It's been 2 weeks since I left a message on my journal about not needing to give a fit note as I am migrating from esa sg. I have had no response and the request for a fit note is still on my journal. I know it takes time but I'm getting worried now as my assessment period ends on the 17th December. I did recieve a letter from dwp about the cb part of my esa changing to New style from 01.12.24 and the ir part of esa will stop but Universal credit will be in touch as they will be paying that. The letter also said i need an appt to accept claimant commitment for new style esa but i havent heard anymore. Do you think i need to do anything else? I'm really worried the LCWRA won't be on my statement

Sounds like a you’ve done it right and left a message already about coming from the esa sg but seems to be taking a minute for esa to transfer all you info over.

I have no experience yet with this as have just received a migration notice but can’t hurt to send another message or give it till end of week.0 -

A fit note isn't needed because you were in the Support Group for ESA. Since you started your claim there's been an update and those that are now transferring from ESA when they claim UC the system will automatically know that you were claiming ESA.
Have you agreed to your UC claimant commitments yet? You can check what they are by logging into your journal. As you were in the Support Group your commitments should say something like the following… you will log into your journal often and make sure you complete all activities on your to do list and report all changes.
If you don't know how to check them you log into your journal and click "home" from there look down the list and click "work plan and commitments" and click on that. From that list click "your commitments" and you can see them there. If it says what I advised above then the LCWRA element has been verified.
New style ESA is separate to UC and you should receive a phone call to agree to your commitments, which will be just to report all changes.
Your statement should be ready a day or two after the end of your assessment period. There's plenty of time left yet.

Yes I have agreed to my uc claimant commitments. There's nothing on my to do list and no more notes on my journal so it's just a waiting game now.
I've just had a look on work plan and commitments as didn't realise it was on there and I've posted what they both say. I think it's right with what you said.
I'm due my first new style esa this Friday. Will I still recieve it even though as of yet I haven't recieved a phone call from them to agree to my commitments?

That’s the correct commitments for LCWRA with UC. You should still receive your ESA payment on Friday.
Please remember that the ESA is deducted in full from UC, which will be £598.86/month.

I still haven't had an appointment to accept claimant commitments to continue to get new style esa. I did message uc on my journal asking about it and they replied "if needed this will be arranged for you" I recieved my first new style payment of esa last friday. I'm reading on other forums that people have received an appointment fairly soon. Maybe I should just learn to be patient. My assessment period ends today and just hoping that it doesn't delay my statement, as everything else has been verified. Do you think i should do anything else?

I wouldn't worry too much your commitments it will only be to agree to report any changes. You've received your first payment so going forward they will continue every fortnight and that's really all you need.

It's just the wording on the letter that worries me "You must accept claimant commitment to continue recieving new style esa or we may close your claim" I've read lots of people have said its just a quick call but everyone seems to have had their call quite soon after receiving the letter. Maybe because it's christmas there's a delay.

Your claim will not be closed. If there were issues you wouldn’t have received that payment.
Yes, it’s usually just a phone call to accept the commitments when claiming New style ESA. If you’re worried then you will need to ring them to ask.

Your advice has always been right so I'm going to listen to you and be patient and I'm sure they will be in touch soon.
Like they said on my journal when I asked them - "if needed this will be arranged" so at least they have acknowledged what I asked.

Alisha, poppy is right, I too was worried about the letter, but they arranged a phone appointment (wasnt asked to go in person), and during the call the person who spoke to me was very polite, whilst she did repeat the same thing a few times, it did just come down to me agreeing to report a change of circumstances, I was also told there would be no active work coach on the new style ESA. I was notified about the phone appointment via SMS message.

Thank you for that. I'm not too worried about the appointment itself because everyone has said its just agreeing to report change of circumstances.
I'm more worried that I haven't heard from them to arrange the actual appointment.
