Christmas payments
Hello all,
Just a quick question...
UC is due 30th of every month so it'll be Mon 30th Dec this year and statement is usually due 26th which falls on Boxing Day.
I know we'll probably not get payment any earlier due to how it falls this year but don't DWP shut down early for the Christmas period? Would this affect statement/payment days etc?
TIA

You may receive your statement a little later than usual but your payment will still be on 30th December. They are closed 25th and 26th December.

That's great, thank you Poppy. We've had our statement early a couple of times since transitioning over in July so I guess that's a possibility too. I've read somewhere though that if they have to manually process your payments due to new elements or whatever being added on, it could actually land in your bank earlier? Partners just been awarded LCWRA and that's due to be in payment next month so could it be that they need to add that manually?

I’ve never known a UC payment to be paid earlier unless payment date falls on a weekend or bank holiday.
