Council Tax discounts can anyone advise me

Hi, i have checked online and filled my info about my situation and that gives me some info saying we can get a discount, but then one woman at the council is not sure. My council are not very helpful to be honest. So, i am hoping that someone maybe able to help.
Our situation is I am on fulll PIP. I am under pension age but my wife is above pension age. We are having an extention built on the property due to my disability which will be a wet room. Our council tax is the bottom bracket but it is still £1,600.
My daughter who is an adult still lives with us to help care for me. I am trying to find out if we would get any help towards the council tax as we have more money going out than in

I'm afraid council tax reduction is something I won't be able to advise you with. All local Authorities have their own rules.
I'd advise you to just apply and see what happens.
