Hi, my name is Cljs1967! PIP assessment only lasted 20 mins. Will it be a bad decision?

Hello I how is everyone I had my pip phone assessment today but it only lasted about 20 minutes so I'm thinking that the decision won't be a very good one as anyone else short phone assessment and still been awarded pip

Yes, mine was what's known as a paper based assessment so my phone call was out of the blue and not scheduled.
It lasted less than 20 minutes and I was awarded Enhanced for both, 6 years.

This was back in April so I don't remember the answer to your question.
I was able to look at my phone's call log for the call duration 😊

Welcome to the community @Cljs1967 I'd try not to worry too much about the length of any assessments, they're usually there for assessors to get more information on things they arent sure of. So if you filled in your forms with all the relevant info, then the assessment would be quite short. It can be a good thing.

Ok thank you I received a txt message this afternoon saying they have received my report and should hear back in around 8 weeks

The length of time the assessment took is no indication of what the decision is likely to be. It’s normal for assessments to last anything from 20 to 120 minutes.

Thank you poppy123455 & palmer I don't think I will be awarded it to be honest because I have heard lots of people say you get refused with first application so I don't think I will get awarded but will just wait and see thank you all for your messages
