I got awarded lcw last year after a assessment but after I reviewed the assessors report and I submitted a MD and luckily I got awarded Lcwra because the assessor wrote on almost all the descriptors the opposite of what I actually said. The assessor suggested that I should have a reassessment after 12 months but that was when I got awarded lcw so not sure if that's changed now that I've been awarded lcwra. Do you have the assessors report?

hello I’ve been awarded this too and also it says the same as yours I think it’s a standard thing now but don’t know when the review is could be anytime I think xx

if you get awarded LCWRA it’s the same as being put in the support group of ESA which means you don’t need to work or look for any type of work. I still get ESA but also had to claim UC but was put on the LWRCa group and have not been told this.

Dear group,
I've been put on LCW. I'm not happy abt this cause I submitted my UC50 in July 2024. And still haven't told me abt decision. Last UC phone he couldn't tell me. I have another phone call on the 9th from uc. Shall I ask. As I'm on pip enhanced and I know uc is different but it's unfair and doesn't add up. LCW is not forced to work but have to comit to phone calls and possible online courses in the future. I'm not ready it does contradict my PIP freedom pass my disability if I accept their commitments and be forced out to work. I'm telling I'm concentrating on my health right now. I'm not happy really I feel walked all over & if I don't do what they say I will be sanctioned. what happens then when you lose yr uc you lose home. They got us there. Cause when it was HB they couldn't control us into work but uc can im not physically & mentally ready. I should be in the LWCRA. Can anyone recommend whst to do here???

@anthony1234 ask for the assessors report via your journal and immediately after ask for a mandatory reconsideration.

contact welfare rights and they will advise you. Maybe you can sent them a report line you did to get pip and explain hiw your condition affects your daily life. Also have you given them your diagnosis

following . I’ve yet to have my assessment . I’ve heard its worse than than the pip one. It’s worrying that assessors can write the opposite of what people tell them. Anyone just get a random phone call to to the assessment? I have heard of that hapoening too.

That happens during what's known as a paper based assessment. Whereby the assessor feels they have enough information to make a decision without a full assessment.
@lucylucy Re assessments are a normal part of claiming LCW/LCWRA I'm afraid. Review times vary, the date on their system is just a guide as they can re assess at any time.
However re assessments have been suspended for several years and haven't yet resumed at scale. So significant backlogs currently exist in the system.

HI everyone,
I need help. I was supposed to have my uc phone call today but it got cancelled..and uc txt me to goto jobcentre face to face the day b4 Christmas eve. I had a phone call previously to this two months ago. Uc guy said I've scored 15 points no commitments no sick notes no more. So.im assuming I'm on LWRCA. I'm.on enhanced pip and I called bk uc today to explain this. She noted it down and now it's going to a case manager. Cause I shouldn't be getting any phone calls to do commitments. And yes I've filled out the UC50 form bk in July 2024. Plus my.pip award was approved by a disability judge a gp and psychiatrist in a tribunal. I also have been awarded a freedom pass too. Can anyone tell me why I'm getting these phone calls from UC? They r not very clear when I ask them..I wouldn't want my pip to be taken away after all the headache of going to pip tribunal and uc probably r trying to make me work. I know it's different benefits but it's not adding up if I can't do everyday tasks etc.. please can anyone advise me what to do here?
Thank you

Please check the decision letter of the work capability assessment because in a previous comment you said you were awarded LCW and not LCWRA. If you were found to have LCWRA on the decision letter it would say "Limited Capability For Work Related Activity." If it was LCW it would say "Limited Capability For Work."
Unfortunately, your PIP award and freedom pass are both irrelevant to the WCA process and decision. You shouldn't just assuming something. If you have access to a journal the decision letter will be on there, if a decision has been made.
Once you've check that decision letter please come back and let know exactly what it says.

what makes you say she’s just assuming something. What do you mean by something. Probably not just aware of the facts as UC can be quite hard to understand and navigate. So it’s not right for you to say tge person is assuming

I know full well how difficult it is to understand the system, which is why I'm trying to help them but sorry for asking some questions. In future I will leave well alone. 🙄
Just to add… they Anthony also said this in their OWN words..
Uc guy said I've scored 15 points no commitments no sick notes no more. So.im assuming I'm on LWRCA.
