Been paid the wrong disability element, will they backdate?

hi, I went on universal credit for the first time in July 2023, I took all my paper work in and told them my daughter gets DLA high care needs, they applied the disability element the low one I only realised she should of been on the high disability element 2 weeks ago, and they have corrected it now but have a decision maker looking at it now, will it get back dated I did not no nothing different as was my 1st time going on universal credit I do get the carers allowance,

    It should be backdated. If it isn't, you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration on the grounds it wasn't.

    hi I did ask have been told it with a decision maker, but that’s over a year of back payment, I knew no difference will this be their mistake

    If the Decision Maker doesn't backdate as a result of the MR, you can appeal that decision.
