IVA and now awarded UC
Hello 👋
I have only just recently entered an IVA and it’s all approved and just about to make my first monthly payment however I have applied for UC as due to two major surgeries I can no longer work and I get ESA support group and PIP which were included in the IVA.
I’m waiting to see if I get UC but it looks like I will but do I have to tell my IVA as it’s brand new and this extra will help a lot as things are very tight.
Thank you all for your time.

Yes you will need to tell them. Whether it’s taken into consideration I don’t know, sorry.

Please also note if you haven’t yet received first payment of UC then you won’t know if there’s any entitlement until you have your first statement.

Thank you Poppy I explained I have applied for UC and don’t know the outcome.
I first called debt advice line who said you will have to tell them and then contacted the company with the Iva and I was told if I am awarded it it will be picked up at my yearly review.
Thought that a little strange tbh0
