Uc migration is ESA

hi I’ve recently migrated to uc from legacy benefits and had my first payment,my question is I was receiving esa income related at £140 a fortnight give or take they have put LCW on statement which is £154 a month , so I’ve lost just under half my award and they haven’t added TP is this correct im worried about asking them as I have been really anxious and stressed and don’t want to mess my claim up many thanks

You can add a Journal note (under Payment) asking for Transitional Protection to be added. Sometimes this is not calculated in time for the first statement.
They will add a letter onto your Journal when this is done, and send what they owe as a separate payment. The letter will contain the amount.

Can I please just check how much ESA you were receiving a fortnight? In your comment you said it was £140/fortnight.
Please also remember that UC is one benefit made up of many different elements. Your UC should also include standard allowance, as well as the LCW element and any other elements you maybe entitled to. It's not just the LCW you need to look at.

Hi I was receiving £72 I think per week esa , I have the singles person element added my 2 children added and my rent straight to my landlord they all seem ok just the esa that’s why I’m confused many thanks for the replies ..

How does the total UC award compare to how much the total of legacy benefits was?

That amount tells me you are under 25 and your ESA claim started after April 2017. If it did start after that date then I wouldn’t expect your UC to include the money for the LCW element because of the rule changes from that time.
Unless there were some deductions from your ESA? Are you claiming carers allowance?
