Pip appeal backdating

Hi I was wondering if someone could give me some answers. I have been receiving pip standard daily living since 2022 til now, I've recently appealed this for the enhanced daily living, and I won the appeal. They've told me that this will be backdated from 2022…
My question is what would the lump sum be roughly? I've asked for it in lump sum and I have no idea how they work it out? Do they calculate it based on what they've paid me already with the standard allowance and just pay the shortfall? No idea.

Hi @Em28
I am not entirely sure how they work it out but there is a PIP Payment Calculator that you can use to see how much you should be owned in backdated payments.

Hi,
Yes, they work out the difference between your original award and new award. This changes each April when the benefits rate increase so it's not a simple calculation.
I'm also not sure how far into 2022 you were first awarded, as that obviously makes a big difference.
If there is approximately 2 years of backpay from standard DL to Enhanced DL then I would estimate it to be around £3500.
