Blue badge waiting over 6 month, what is happening?

hi I have been waiting over 6 months for blue badge.now. Getting rather annoyed at this stage. The digital assistant says I don’t exist. I have already rung a few times and apparently I do exist. So digital assistant is no use whatsoever. Have just sent them a bit of a cross email. What is happening to everything? All gone to pot

6 months is a long time.

My local authority are taking 12 weeks and I thought that was bad! They won't even accept enquiries about your application until 13 weeks have passed.

Hi @gcraigy Sorry to hear this. Must be incredibly frustrating!

It may be worth speaking with your local council as they should be responsible for issuing your Blue Badges. Your council should have a Blue Badge Team which you can call or visit in person if possible, as this might yield faster results than emails.

Could also submit a formal complaint or involve local councillors/MP.
