hi,

I had confirmation that LWCRA as been awarded. Fit notes started in August 2024. The confirmation of the award was 2 days ago and the assesments was in nov. I’ve been told 2 different things…the award starts 3 months after I received a decision (2days ago) so money will be paid out til march 2025. And then someone else said it would be dec2024. I’m confused. Can anyone help me plz? Thanks

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. Then the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note. First payment is then at the end of that month. It’s not paid at all during that period.

Before I can advise further I will need more information.

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

3/ Does your UC include any Transitional Protection?

4/ Did you continue to provide fit notes the whole time without any gaps?
    Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks. Your waiting period will be Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 24th Nov to 23rd Dec and first payment will be 30th December. No LCWRA element is owed.

You're welcome. Yes, I totally agree, they aren't the most knowledge people when it comes to UC. Glad I could help.
