Good evening

my name is Christopher and I’m awaiting a second hip replacement surgery (revision). I had my first replacement in May 2007 at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary at the age of 27. This was due to a childhood infection and then hospital misdiagnosis.

My hip has been wearing and tearing now over the last two years and I’m in a lot of pain. My landlord won’t support me to replace the bed to get an orthopaedic one or support to get one similar so I am asking are there’s any charities offering grants to support me in getting a new bed

I genuinely appreciate your support and advice here. I’m hoping to get my rebook surgery in the New Year however I am having difficulty because my current property in London has stairs and I find it painful to navigate them for to my pain. I have found it hard to get a council house and I can’t get a private let due ti then saying sorry no DSS

It is very sad that this happened to you. Please tell us your opinion about why this happened to your health and how doctors explain it to you, if you want to tell it here.  I think it will be important for many to know.
