Hi, my name is woman46! Saying i'm claiming care allowance when i'm not.
Hi need some advice I've had a journal message yesterday to say they are going to deduct money out my universal credit as I'm claiming carers allowance I've never claimed carers allowance or had any payments so rang carers allowance to find out there is a claim in my name they've reported it as fraud but just don't know what to do now as don't know how long this process takes and I'm stressed and depressed please someone help

I'm so sorry to read this. Did they give you any indication of whether they'd be preventing the deductions whilst they look in to this, or how long it should take?

They have said there still going to take the deductions until they've investigated and the claim cannot be closed until the investigation has concluded I've explained that this affecting my mental health but they don't care I'm just so upset about this

Hi Holly yes it is impacting me alot financially and my mental is severely suffering and they have not give me no timescale as to when the fraud investigation will be concluded
