Any advice? Waiting for a letter from DWP explaining everything.
Hello all.
So I called DWP today (waiting for a decision has had my anxiety through the roof. I'm sure most felt this way). The lady told me a decision has been made but I would need to wait for a letter explaining everything. Does this mean it's been refused? I mentioned it had received a text neither and all she could tell me was to wait. It feels as though it's been refused. Can anyone help with this please? Thank you

If the decision has only recently been made it takes up to 24 hours for them to be able to see that on the system. They will see it’s been made but can’t see what the decision actually is.
Not everyone receives a text if there’s an award. I’ve heard of many people being awarded without receiving the text.

@poppy123456 thank you for responding. I just see a few people on here being told the decision over the phone and when I asked she said she couldn't which confused me.

Hi @RebeccaJC
Welcome to the online community! I hope you enjoy your time on the forum.
I can see that you’ve had some an answer from @poppy123456 so I won't add anything at this point 😊
I hope you don't mind but I've made a slight change to your post title. Just to help members who might have some helpful advice to find you easily. I hope that's ok.
Also, if you have an opportunity to browse the categories, may I suggest "coffee lounge" which is a great place for a friendly chat, and "games den" if you fancy some (often silly) fun.
All the best,
Holly.

Some do and some don’t. It also depends when that decision was made due to it taking up to 24 hours for them to see what that decision actually was.
