My housing benefit should have gone om the bank during the night but hasn't, I live alone and have just reached state pension age, is this why I haven't received it although I haven't been told it will stop.

Reaching state pension age is likely the reason yes. A letter confirming this probably hasn't been sent or received yet.
You will need to contact Housing Benefit and see what happens next.
Some councils have you re apply when reaching state pension age, others merely update your previous claim.

Have you informed them that you've now reach state pension age? If you haven't then you will need to do that and your HB will need to be recalculated.
