Post Pip assessment

Hi everyone and happy new year to you all. My ADHD partner has applied for Pip in Sept and has had a telephone assessment on the 19th of December. Has anyone been through this process? What can expect next and when in your experience?

Once the assessor has completed the report, it will be sent to a DWP Decision Maker who makes the decision on the claim. They usually follow the asessors recommendation, but not always.
Timescales are anything up to 12 weeks.
You can ring PIP and ask for a copy of the report.

My husbands took 11 weeks from the initial phone call to reward, mine took 18 weeks so it’s very difficult to give an exact time. Good luck .

Mine took 4 weeks from the assessment to get the first payment (plus backdated amount) but I was notified the same day that I had been awarded PIP. I didn't know what levels until I received the letter from DWP but it was a positive experience.
