edited January 4 in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA

I had to join to say Thank you to all the comments I have read about assessments I was On full D.L.A and then I had to move to pip a few years ago I am in a wheelchair suffer everyday I have people cook, clean, and wash me ....I have to be turned during the night but the face to face assessor I had then was terrible , in the report she made a big deal that I could easily stroke my Jack Russell who was 12 hrs old and was my best friend he sat on my lap all day everyday.......and did to this I was dropped to Standered care in pip.

My support worker now talked me into requesting a review so we rang them four they sent me a form I sent it back with loads of documentation and sat back thinking I am in for a long wait but two weeks later on the 23rd December I had a telephone assessment.......I rang them after Christmas and asked for a copy of my assessment it came this morning I do not really understand all the jargon but the assessed who was lovely has stated I should have 12 + points so I might get enhanced....

Fingers crossed please and Thank you again to all xxxx

There's 2 parts to PIP, daily living and mobility and both are added separately. You can use the PIP self test and transfer the dots from the report into the test and it will add up any recommended points for you. See link.

Please bear in mind that the report is a recommendation only. Though they mostly go with it, it has been known for them to go against it. Timescales for decisions are up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.

Decisions can take up to 12 weeks once the assessment report was returned. To be fair, up to now the process for you has been exceptionally quick!
