Need some advice - motability advanced payment!

hello I have applied for a grant for my Hand Controls and also for the help with the advanced payment, they decided that I only can have a Nil advanced payment on a 5 seater car and they covered the payment for the hand controls and the hoist for my powered wheelchair, I had a look on the website, the recommended vehicles are more like vans and are electric which are very unreliable as I have heard.

I called them up today, asked if I can pay towards the cars advance payment, and they pay for the Hand Controls from the voucher that they gave me but they said no that can’t happen, and if I did do this the grant will be cancelled.

don’t know what to do as I can’t pay for the hands control and advanced payment and also the guy that’s gonna fit all the Hand Controls 😭.

Help towards the advance payment isn't guaranteed and will depend on your financial circumstances.

You must also apply for this before you choose your vehicle because if you apply after they will refuse. Did you apply for help with this before or after you chose your car?

Also if there's a vehicle available that meets your needs with a lower or even nil advance payment they may refuse you help towards it.
