LCWRA
hi, please could someone offer advice on LCWRA please. I have been submitting fit notes since beginning Oct 24, had wca and was awarded LCWRA in Dec 24. My understanding was that the first payment would be 3 ass periods from first fit note - therefore Jan. I enquired on journal and response was payment would be in March (3 ass periods from award). I am slightly confused as all research I did suggested it would be Jan… can anyone shed any light please? thanks

It's 3 full assessment periods after you provided your fist fit note. It's then paid from the 4th month, with first payment being the end of that month because UC is paid 1 month in arrears. It's not paid at all during that period.
If you can answer these questions I can tell you when your first payment will be.
1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?
2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?
3/ Does your UC include any Transitional Protection?

Thank you. That means your waiting period will be as follows..
Oct/Nov, Nov/Dec, Dec/Jan.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 12th Jan to 11th Feb and first payment will be 18th Feb. No LCWRA element is owed.
