Pip assessment report
hello, I’m new here and attempting to create my first post so please bear with me, so I applied for pip for the first time back in October and had my assessment a couple of weeks ago, I have requested and received a copy of my assessment report which when added up recommends enhanced for both care and mobility, a score of 15 for care and 22 for mobility ( I am house bound) so my question is how likely is it that the DM will reduce points or go against a positive assessment report?
did you receive an award that was inline with the report? Thanks so much for reading

The DM usually goes with the assessment recommendation, but not always.

Thankyou for answering me kimmy, like many my anxiety is through the roof and causing me many sleepless nights, when I rang to request the report I was put through to a dm who said to me the report looks positive, I have everything crossed that it will be straight forward x

It is extremely unlikely that the DM will disagree with the assessment report.

Heya @Anxiousannie and welcome to the community. 😊
I can see you've already had some top support here, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Also try not to panic, we've all been there and know how tough it can be waiting for that decision to be made. It'll be ok. 😊

albus- Thankyou for the warm welcome :)
If anyone has had experience of getting there report before there decision and can tell me there experience? That would be really helpful x

I’ve been claiming PIP for almost 12 years and have had 3 assessment reports in that time. I’ve never experienced them going against the report.
My daughter has also got 1 assessment report from when I first claimed for her and they also went with that report.
As difficult as it is, please try to think of something else while you wait for that decision. Which can take up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.

thanks poppy that’s really reassuring, I must have spent 30 hours googling every possibly outcome in the last 4 days, the reassuring thing is the pip assessment was really positive and truthful x

I thought I would update exactly one week to the day from the assessment I have had my decision this morn, enhanced on both as the report recommended :) over the moon that I don’t have to fight x
