Hello, my partner works and earns apx 1800 a month.

I am housebound and disabled and in the process of applying for universal credit and lcwra.

I am wondering if lcwra is seperate or will it be impacted by my partner's earning

    Hi,

Deductions for earnings are made against the full amount of UC. After all elements are added together. LCWRA is not kept protected from them.

LCWRA will be impacted by your partners earnings.

Currently for every £1 he earns, 0.55 will be deducted from the whole UC award.

If granted LCWRA, you will have a work allowance.

This is the amount your partner can earn before deductions are made.

If claiming Housing Element, it is £404 a month, if not £673.

You could try a benefits calculator to estimate the award under both sets of circumstances:
