Changes advised ?

Today I rang up DWP to advise them that since November I have been diagnosed with significant hearing loss, resulting in me now having to wear hearing aids in both ears, this wasn't the case when I was awarded PIP, I thought I would have to go through another review, but she said she would just purmt a note on my file...is this right?

Usually when you report changes to your health condition they send a form out for you to fill in and return.

Are you 100% certain that more points can be scored because a worsening of condition doesn't automatically mean you're entitled to more points for a higher award. It will depend on what award you currently have and where exactly you scored the points.

There's always some risk when reporting changes because once the decision is made your award could either remain the same, be increased, decreased or stopped completely.

I'd advise you to have a read of this before proceeding further.

Thanks Poppy my award is standard PIP and 11 points scored. I didn't have hearingvissues at the time but now do, so thought I had better report it, it would take me to enhanced PIP will wait to see if they send me a form or not.
