Money gifts when on benifits
HI, I wonder if anyone can tell me please....do I have to declare a £50 birthday present 🎁 gift when on CB esa and UC top up and PIP. It's my 50th birthday next week and my sister wants to transfer £50 into my account as she lives a way away from me but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to to that or if I would need to declare it... thanks

OK Thanks so much Kimmy87.
I just didn't want to get into any trouble. You never know what new rules have come out so I'd rather be sure than not.
Arhh, bless you...thanks for the Birthday wishes.... very kind.
Have a lovely weekend 👍😊

You would not need to declare a gift of £50. The only time I can think it would need to be brought up is if that small amount put you over the £6000 or £16,000 savings thresholds.
