Living between two homes but being added to tenancy agreement

Hi everyone I was hoping for some help.
I currently live my siblings and wanted to move in with my friend and stay with him for a few days. He wants to add me to the tenancy agreement but said he will pay for the rent whilst I can cover my own food and stuff.
I dont mind living between homes as I live with siblings.
Do I need to notify DWP although this isn’t permanent and I’m just staying a few days a week? I haven’t stayed over at his yet he just said he’s putting my name on the agreement
I’m a woman will we be classed as a couple if I stay with him?

If he's just a friend then no you will not be treated as a couple. Why does he want to add you to the tenancy agreement? It's not as straight forward as he may think to do this.
If it was me, I'd be very cautious about him doing that. If the Landlord allows this then you will legally be responsible for half of the rent and if he doesn't pay his share the landlord can chase you for all of the rent. I know he's told you that he would pay BUT what if he doesn't?

will I lose out on uc?
He said he wants to help and he needs to add me on it as I’m staying there0 -
No, you won't lose out on any UC if he's just a friend. Why does he need to add you onto the tenancy agreement if you're just visiting and staying over sometimes?
You can claim help with the rent if named on the tenancy agreement but it just sounds rather strange that he wants to add you to the tenancy agreement because you visit sometimes.
