DLA to PIP transfer

Hi all.
After calling for an update on my sons PIP claim today I was told he has been awarded PIP, however I am confused about the dates that were given to me. The decision was made today, but has been awarded from 26th Feb. However his last dla payment will be the 11th of Feb and 1st PIP payment is 21st Mar and slightly under the normal 4 week payment. Surely this means he is missing out on payment between 11th and 26th Feb?
The person I spoke to today couldn't give me any more information as she said ot can take 24hrs for everything to be uploaded to the system, so to call back tomorrow.
If anyone has any idea either how this may have been calculated or what I should do in this situation I would be grateful!

This confuses so many people. I would expect you to receive another payment of DLA after 11th Feb. I'd advise you to ring DLA to ask, if it was PIP you were ringing because the won't be able to give you any information about the DLA payments.

Thank you. When would you expect to receive another dla payment? As next one due would be the 11th March, but that wouldn't tally up with a pip start date of 26th Feb. Is it likely he would get a payment from them to cover the 2 week gap? Sorry for all the questions, I thought once I had an award decision I'd be more sure of what was happening, not less!

I'm not sure exactly how much it would be for or when. All I can advise is that you will not lose out on any money. DLA would be able to tell you what payments are left and for how much.
