Hello...I had a catastrophic brain injury and my husband has sought to raise some money on Go Fund Me to help with a wheelchair and some physio...do I declare this to UC and will it be deducted as income?
Thanks Karolina

It is not treated as Income. It's treated as capital. If this money increases your total capital to more than £6,000 you must report the changes. There's a £4.35/month deduction for every £250 or part thereof over that amount. Capital of more than £16,000 and you're excluded from claiming UC. Less than £6,000 is ignored.
