So I received a letter, charge's to employment and support allowance rates

Because they can not pay contribution based ESA because I reached the maximum 365 days , so as I understand it goes down about 13 pounds a week,in April confused, can anyone help I send of a ESA 50, and waiting for a reassessment, this letter is not a reward letter is it,?

Thanks

Are you claiming New style ESA? If so and you’re not in the Support Group it’s only paid for 1 year. After this time payments will completely stop.

I have no idea what they are referring to with the £13/week.

No old style esa ,says I in a support group , be on the high rate for 4 years , since awarded pip and be on ESA for ten or more years , 13 pounds is what there pay me less on income based and didn't even know I was on contribution based and worried I get a letter saying they over pay me 3 years @poppy

ESA letters are well known for making no sense at all. If you're not in the Support Group then your ESA will be all Income Related.

If you're in the Support Group it should include the support group component which is currently £47.70/week.

Apparently I am in work related activity group and get £33.70 but £76 for severely disabled, I have not idea why I in work related, as I have had to do any work related activities , now I concerned with this all this coming out now, I be the first targeted 😞

That was mean to say I haven't had to do any work activities

That's the old rate from previous years for severe disability premium. The rate now is £81.50/week. Support Group rate which is the same as Limited capability for work related activity is £47.70/week now.

WRAG component is £33.70/week so that part is correct.

There are people in the WRAG who do not have any work related activity.

I am confused,I now think the 13 pounds less relates to one week in April last year 6 -13 April 2024 , just so confusing , I get £76.40 disability and £33.70 work related activity group, for that week and then it goes to like you said sound about right 81.50 , why send me a letter nearly a year after said event , ESA letter really don't make any sense sometimes, thanks for your response poppy 👍

I have no idea lol. It makes no sense either way because both of those rates are a mixture of rates from 23/24 and 2024/25. It's just another one of those letters from ESA that make so much sense.. not. 😂
