After a whole year since I first applied, I finally got the appeal decision yesterday! Whilst applying for a blue badge, I’d need to supply my ‘PIP award letter’ is this something I get through the post or do I need to contact them?

That's great news. You will need to wait for DWP to put the award into payment and send you the award letter and this can take anything up to 8 weeks. If you automatically qualify for a BB through your PIP mobility award you can then use that letter as proof.
