Once you make a claim for UC any Income Related ESA you were claiming ends 2 weeks later.

Your CB ESA reverts to New style ESA and this doesn’t have an Income Related top up, so it’s impossible to be receiving the Disability Income Guarantee because that’s the Enhanced Disability Premium.

New style ESA Support Group is £276.40/fortnight, is this how much you receive?

    Hi

thanks for reply I use to get £276.40 every 2 weeks but got letter today saying they are paying me £159.10 a week £20.85 a week disability guaranteed income

I also get both parts of pip the esa I use to get before uc was old style esa cb

    I just don’t understand

Will I lose my esa when I tell them again I got over £16000 inheritance which I told them back in December

    thank you

They have clearly made a big error here because your ESA was New style and this does not have an Income Related top up so you shouldn’t be receiving that extra money.

You will need to ring them to tell them what’s happened.

You won’t lose the ESA because it’s not means tested. It should be £138.20/week.

I started claiming esa in 2018 so that doesn’t come into it

I take it as it’s there thought I will not get into trouble I just struggle trying to talk to them

    thank you for your help
